What's Going On... Next week, A&A will be reunited in Denver for the Democratic National Convention. Having never been to one of these, I can only imagine insanity. I bet traffic in D.C. will be lighter than ever, as half this town will relocate to the Mile-High City for five days. The invitations to all sorts of receptions have been piling up, although a lot of them were scammed or photocopied from other people, and most of them say "non-transferable." I have a feeling that when we roll up to these shindigs we're going to feel like freshmen waiting in line at a W&M fraternity party, hoping to baby J.C. that our names are on the list. Speaking of being freshman at W&M, this Thursday, August 21 marks the TEN-YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the class of 2002 showing up for orientation in 1998. That was the weekend I met half of my closest friends. I'd meet the other half the next weekend when rush started, and ultimately Anne and I would seal the fate of our friendship the week after. But I'm sure I'll bring that up again on September 13. :) So because A&A will be working ungodly volunteer hours at the DNC next week, it's unlikely you'll get an update. I'll try to post something cool for you before I leave to tide you over. After all, what else is going to keep you occupied during the commercial breaks from the Olympics?? [happenings archive] |
