| Once again A&A hit the road with Ashley to yet another wedding and Anne to Chicago. As Ashley continued her long time patronage to DC on the heaven-sent Chinatown bus, Anne realized after being stuck on a grounded plane for five hours that the real threat to airport security is the vast incompetence of some of their employees. (No offense, I'm just still heated about it.) This weekend A&A make their yearly pilgrimage to their college stomping ground so they can drink away the limited, yet stifling responsibilities that have plagued them for the past year. Oh, and to pick up some house dressing... [10.27.03] Just so everybody knows, Oct 14th is Amanda P's & Clarissa's bday. Every year since A&A has known them, they've gotten the shaft because it usually fell over fall break. Well not this year! This year A&A are on TOP of it. HAPPY BDAY, AMANDA!!!! HAPPY BDAY, CLARISSA!!!! Nothin' but love. Well, Vegas didn't turn out like Anne planned. The trip was cut short, but not before Tedd learned that he's an absolute stud on the nickel slots. Ashley and GB acted cooler than they are as they sipped martinis at Caroline's Comedy Club, with Colin Quinn headlining. (I think we pulled it off nicely...) [10.13.03] This week Anne is off to Sin City with Tedd to experience some high rolling and cheap buffet-ing. While the rest of us can't join her at the blackjack table, I will definitely recommend some easier-to-obtain Jack Black . School of Rock is worth the ten bucks, so treat yourself. This past weekend Ash and Guitar Boy walked all up, down, and around NYC. We hit St Marks for some shopping, SoHo for some snacking, and the East Village for some drinking--not to mention a little fun on the Maxx games machine. (Have you ever played Photo Hunt? I'm a pro.) [10.06.03] A press pass is a beautiful thing to behold, and that's exactly what Ashley flashed on her way into the Democratic candidate debate last Thursday. Look for an article about the experience on A&A very soon! Anne took off for the beach with her favorite GMMB coworkers and enjoyed a huge music festival with no less than 175 bands. Ash had the musicians come to her when she hosted Juniper Lane in her humble NYC apartment on Wednesday night. Oh, and if anyone has suggestions for Anne's upcoming trip to Vegas, send her an email! [09.29.05] In spite of hurricane Isabel, Ashley's sister Sarah still managed to have a rootin' tootin' wedding affair, at which A&A were both present. Guests raised their wedding favor Russian shot glasses filled with Stolichnya to the post-Cold War American bride and Russian groom. They also shook their groove-thangs, as you can see below. More pics to come! [09.22.03] Today Ash starts her new gig. She gets a Voice badge and everything! Last week Anne perfected the verb "to chill." She got her first-ever massage and in silent protest to the rain Friday night, she stayed in to revel in her new living space. Ash, in contrast, ran herself ragged, staying up way too late with two Chinatown bus rides in and amongst the mayhem. The NYC apartment had a party on Sat night and crammed lots of Jersey boys into our humble abode. Lime tostito crumbs litter the hallway as proof. :) [09.15.03] It's official, Ashley's back in NYC. She's reminded of it every morning when she's awoken by sirens. Anne's moved, too, closer to the action in Dupont Circle. YAY! And both A&A have new matching laptops, completely coincidentally. (We do everything together, we really can't help it.) So Anne is putting the finishing touches on her new pad, Ashley is squeezing back into hers and checking out her new classes. In this ever-changing life, let A&A.com be your constant!!! [09.03.03] A&A had a weekend of R&R - fitting, isn't it? And deserved, too. Anne went to her beach house with T-to-the-double-D and Ash drove to Radford for Rooker's bday, along with T-bone, Sarah M, Peter, and other all*star guests.. There was plenty of SeaDoo action and even noodle canoodling in the lake. I know you're all disappointed to hear I wimped out and fell asleep before the skinny dipping ensued. Coming this week: it's the end of the summer. Just don't play "End of the Summer" by Dar Williams around Anne...she'll bawl. [08.25.03] |

| Big hyuuge CONGRATS to Clarissa for impressing her interviewers in DC so much that they offered her a job on the spot. Now all A&A readers can start the full-on campaign to see that she fulfills her promise of moving to our Nation's Capital and up-ing it's fun quotient. This week A&A have interesting things coming up: Radiohead! GMMB book club! Going through closets and preparing to move! A visit to Radford! It's always one big grab bag in the lives of Anne and Ash. [08.18.03] First and foremost - MAJOR PROPS to Adrienne and Habe for throwing a to-die-for bachelorette in NYC! It will be impossible to ever top, that's for sure! Picture A&A in a limo, half hanging out the windows, singing Survivor's hit from the 80s "High on You." Trust us, it was a priceless image to behold. We're also proud to say that we were among the last women standing at the Culture Club in the West Village. We could have danced all night! But alas, $1hot dogs were beckoning to us and we willingly succumbed. [08.11.03] A&A both found themselves blinking in disbelief this weekend: Ash at the view from the top of the continental divide in Colorado, Anne at the irresistible love machine and woman about town her mom has become. We're about to become even more starry-eyed this weekend in NYC. We can't divulge details (stay tuned for those next week), but we're going to impart on the bachelorette to end all bachelorettes. And congrats to the bride-to-be herself for taking the Virginia Bar exam last week! [08.04.03] Woohoo! A&A painted the town red this weekend after a few weeks off for work and travel. Feeling that DC was going through A&A withdrawal, we kept it local. First a wild night in Adams Morgan for Jenn M's bday, complete with old friends, new fans, and dirty dancing. Then a rousing pre-party in Old Town on Saturday night hosted by Amanda and Johnelle. Though Anne was also in Old Town that night, Ash missed her as she was swept up in her favorite card game - "Asshole." Her rule? Keep it low for the people!!! [07.28.03] A&A had very different weekends. Anne had a hankering to see what the inside of GMMB's offices looked like after midnight, so foregoing the usual romp in Adams Morgan, she stayed at work until the wee hours. She likened the experience to the Tyler computer lab happy hours she once enjoyed during college. Ash tried on the role of "roadie" for a weekend, accompanying Juniper Lane to Atlanta to play with Wyclef Jean. It doesn't get better than a van with no A/C for 10 hours! Unless, of course, there's a luxury hotel at the end of the ride... [07.21.03] This past week has been pretty tame compared to the one before. Life isn't as exciting when you're not blowing things up in your parents' driveway... A&A have been laying low, chillin' on porches, breakfast in bed, watching "Old School" over and over--the usual veg-out stuff. :) [07.14.03] The party on the 4th was all A&A promised it would be and more. People had to be rolled home they were so full, and that was no easy feat all the way from Reston. Thanks to Tedd and Guitar Boy who lent their expertise in the area of pyrotechnics. Then, Anne brought Jenn M. along to the beach to celebrate Mama D's birthday. Ash had a high-dose of QT with her extended fam in Havre de Grace, then ran back to DC for Juniper Lane's 9:30 Club show with Potter. All-in-all, a perfect 3-day weekend! [07.07.03] Running errands in and around our nation's capital is much more fun when A&A can do them together. We will be busy this week getting ready for our infamous "Land of the Free?" all-day party, so look for us around town. We'll be in our little compact car, aggravating fellow drivers and waylaying pedestrians as we weave in and out of NoVA traffic, picking up everything from Lime Tostitos to illegal fireworks--all to ensure our friends are comfortable during our Bush-bashing, I MEAN, Fourth of July extravaganza. :) [07.01.03] A&A expanded their cultural knowledge and frequent flier portfolio this past week with some travel. Anne went to Kansas City with Tedd for another wedding (they just keep coming), and Ashley went to Russia with Guitar Boy and her fam to meet her sister's new in-laws. Pics will be coming soon of Ash livin' it up and drinkin' 'em down in St Petersburg. [06.23.03] |
