YAY!!! The weather rules! Anne trolloped around Ballston with her bro and daydreamed of her NEW JOB at GMMB!!!!!!!!!! That's right, folks, she got the phatty promotion she's been waiting for!! She'll be telling you more about it soon, I'm sure. Ash and Guitar boy roamed around the village for hours on Sunday, saw a kitty get rescued from the roof of Village Pleasure, and then drank $15 margaritas to celebrate. :)

This weekend A&A are walkin' the walk by joining Code Pink and NOW to celebrate International Women's Day and to protest the war against Iraq. We're joining the organizors on Friday night at the NOW headquarters (our DREAM!!!) and then heading to the White House Saturday morning. Click here to learn more about our experience and Code Pink!

A&A had nice, cultural, relaxing weekends! Anne bunkered down for all 6 tapes of Pride and Prejudice after a night of dancing, as well as enjoyed a visit to the National Gallery; Ash saw "The Exonerated," a play about people who'd been freed from the death row, saw Darci (a very good old friend), and listened to an irish band cover Bob Marley. Eclectic weekends, to say the least!

All of our president's may have been upper middle class, white, protestant, male lawyers, but the one day we don't care is when we get off work for a couple of 'em. Anne is off to the beach to cuddle up with her special someone, and Ash is going to learn about the meaning of Saturn in her life at a seminar her aunt is giving. A little new age, but everyone's excited for her to report back what the hell that means. Have a great VDay!

Ashley is going to hit the slopes on a double date with guitar boy's parents. :) Meanwhile, she is lovin' her classes even if she does read a thousand pages a night. Annie D's hanging tight with her class and tutoring project until V-day when she heads off for some lovin' at the beach house. And watch out W&M, a spring trip is in the works!

Tonight Anne will attend her first graphic design class at the Corcoran! She's one smart cookie. But this Saturday we're tucking our nerd selves away for Annie D's bday celebration! If you're interested in a night out in Adams Morgan, ask for detes. Then Sunday is Theresa's Super Bowl party--mmm, I can taste the Lime Tostitos and GUAC now! We'll be watching for the commercials, clearly.

Ash came to DC this weekend to celebrate guitar boy's b-day at the Melting Pot, but was able to stop by Annie D's for her one and only specialty, chicken parm. This week it's back to the grind, but we are gearing up for Annie D's birthday bash next Saturday!

So the reign of terror that was Ashley's two week visit to DC has ended. A&A made their presence known in many ways--some classy, some seedy, but all unmistakably LOUD and PROUD! New Year's was a show to end all shows and Anne's kegger was a smashing success--the police even came! Sweet ass.

Saturday night we all gathered at one of our fave DC bars, Sign of the Whale, to celebrate Ash's 22nd b-day. There was plenty of long islands and bar dancing, but energy is being saved for what will clearly be this year's culminating evening at the National Press Club. The DC & NYC peeps have joined forces and we're hoping to make New Year's a unbeatable event.

Ash started her journalism career at the American Prospect this week and Anne finished her first press conference and media tour - talk about a good week in the old career horoscope! With all this work, we are looking forward to a smashing weekend of weddings and parties. By the way, BIG congrats to Melissa for being the first to tie the knot! [06.03.03]
Done and done. Ash is chillin with her crazy dog in NoVA, settling into the good life of living at her parents' house: free laundry, free food, and even free time now that she is done with her papers for the semester! Anne attempted to enjoy the beach this weekend, but realized delusion wasn't really her thing. And WTF?! No Six Feet Under finale on Sunday?? NOT COOL! A&A are going to be as psycho as Ashley's dog by the time it airs on June 1st! [05.25]
Ash & Anne should start a moving company, because that's pretty much all we did this weekend. Anne put in time at GMMB directing boxes, and was rewarded today with her VERY OWN DESK!!! No more answering phones for Anne. Ash owes much appreciation to Guitar Boy for helping her schlep her stuff down the turnpike in anticipation to her homecoming this Friday! COUNTDOWN to Ash coming to DC: 1 day!!! A&A will be reunited for one hot summer!!

A&A both experienced a little bit of paradise this weekend. For Anne, it was a trip to the Cheesecake Factory with Mama D. For Ash, it was buying matching $4 J.Lo sunglasses with Mama G on 3rd Ave. It's the little things, really... CONGRATS to the W&M grads of 2003! Way to have better speakers at your ceremony than we did. [05.12.03]
Anne endured Pearl Jam (I'm sure she loved it in spite of herself) and Ashley endured the Chinatown bus twice in two days (it's cool, they played Charlie's Angels--in English, even). This week we hope you're all gearing up to show your moms some MAJOR LOVE, because you know they're the best thing that ever happened to you...even though I guess we happened to them, huh? Mama G is comin' to the big city and Anne is headed to PA for the gratitude-fest.

The NYC weekend was wonderful. Once the mist of death subsided, Anne, Ash, Tedd, and Guitar Boy lived it up with sushi and a divine wine bar, and lived it down with some QT in the subway system. Last night Ash, Adrienne V, and Habe went to the Party of the Year at the Met Museum! Madonna, Gwyneth, and Nicole were in attendance. Granted we didn't actually SEE them, but we know they were there somewhere. :)

The Dar concert RULED! The opener was rock royalty (son of Carly Simon and James Taylor), Dar's keyboardist was from Ani's band, and when Dar saw us on the balcony she made a special trip outside her dressing room just to chat us up! No joke. This weekend Anne and Tedd are coming to the big city!!! They have a walk in Central Park, then Adrienne, Stephanie, Guitar Boy and Ash hope to show the two of them a very good time!

Speaking of informative and progressive media, Ashley got an editorial internship for the summer at The American Prospect, and will get to also work with the Moving Ideas Network! Check them out! This Friday Anne, Ash, T, and Rooker will be seeing Dar Williams at the 9:30 Club! WOOHOO!
